Fruit Attraction 2026: Ardena at the global fruit and vegetable fair in Madrid

From 6 to 8 October 2026, we were in Madrid for the 18th edition of Fruit Attraction, the world's leading meeting point for fresh fruit and vegetables. Here is why this fair matters for an importer, and what we take away from it.
The industry's global meeting point
Organised by IFEMA MADRID and FEPEX, Fruit Attraction brings together growers, exporters, importers, distributors and logistics players in Madrid every autumn. The 2025 edition gathered 121,137 professionals from 152 countries and nearly 2,500 exhibiting companies.
Entire halls, national and regional pavilions, areas devoted to logistics and innovation: in a few days, you walk the whole chain, from field to shelf.
Why we were there
For an importer, nothing replaces direct contact. A fair lets you meet growers and exporters from many origins, compare offers, taste the products and prepare the next seasons.
It is also a chance to feel the pulse of the market: varieties, harvest calendars, packaging, retailers' requirements.

A world tour in a few aisles
Walking between the stands, you move from one pavilion to the next. Here, the Catalonia one, with its motto: “On la fruita és cultura”, where fruit is culture. A phrase that sums up the spirit of the fair: behind every product, there is a territory, growers and know-how.
What we look for
- An origin suited to each product, chosen according to the season, quality and availability.
- Reliable growers, able to deliver consistency from one season to the next.
- Partners who share our standards: quality, traceability and a well-controlled cold chain.
Key takeaways
A fair does not replace day-to-day follow-up, but it builds trust and speeds up discussions. We are coming back from Madrid with ideas, contacts and the desire to keep building simpler, more reliable supply for our customers.
